A: It will be produced in GM's Lansing Craft Centre, Lansing, MI.

A: Specific pricing is not determined at this time, but the SSR
will offer a high level of enthusiasm at a true Chevrolet value.
Q: How many SSR units will be manufactured?
A: Actual production volumes and plans have not been completely
finalized at this time. Additional information on this subject

Q: How was SSR developed?
A: SSR was created specifically to be an auto show concept vehicle
to further promote GMís advancements in design and engineering.
However, the response from customers and the media was so strong,
GM decided to produce the innovative roadster.
Q: What powertrain will the SSR have?
A: True to its Chevy heritage, the SSR is scheduled to be powered
by a great small-block V8 with sequential fuel injection and is
scheduled to be rear-wheel drive. Specific details are not
available at this time.
Q: Will a retractable hardtop be included with the vehicle?
A: A retractable hardtop is an integral part of the SSRís
uniqueness and is planned to be in the vehicle.
Q: What colors will be available?
A: At this time, SSR exterior colors have yet to be determined.
Q: What vintage Chevy does the SSR borrow its styling cues
from?
A: SSR borrows and further evolves the strong Chevrolet styling
from its "Advance Design" family of trucks that were
produced from 1947 ‚ 1953.
Q: How long was SSR in development before getting the
production go-ahead?
A: SSR was first shown at Detroitís 2000 North American
International Auto Show in January, and was given the production
go-ahead decision in August 2000.
Q: Is GM categorizing SSR as a car or a truck?
A: There is no other vehicle like it today. Because of its highly
innovative design, the SSR, could be considered either or even
both ‚ weíll let the customer decide!
